Honestly, WordPress is much better than BlogEngine. The themes in WordPress look nicer and it is more convenient and easier to use. However, if you still insist on using BlogEngine, you might like to check out this article on migrating from WordPress to BlogEngine. Erm… those “brain dead” comments that you are seeing are left my spammers who just want to build many backlinks to their own website. To them, backlinks will give them higher rankings in the search engines. However, Google will catch up with them soon (that’s how many spammers have lost their daily livelihoods over the years).
